Buss Routes and Schedule from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and vice versa
Today, I really thought of posting something useful to people in the UAE. Surprisingly the buss information isn’t available on the internet. So, I thought lets drop my digital marketing expertise and my ideals and thoughts about life and business that i normally write about here in this blog, and write something that can be useful to the people.
I have a friend in Abu Dhabi, who I’d like to invite over to Dubai to spend some time and enjoy the wild attractions of the city, so I thought of finding out more about public busses between Dubai and Abu Dhabi to see if there is a convenient way of transportation out there. This search took me more than an hour and a half and yet failed to get me the information I wanted.
Then I thought of calling the RTA (Road and Transport Authority) in Dubai, and I can tell you, they are beautiful… These guys are really professional, spot on, helpful, and best of all you don’t wait on the phone. So I called them on 8009090 and they’ve spent the time to explain the service, timings and routes.
I was only interested in the Ibn Batutta route, so sorry for those who are interested in the other routes – which does exist by the way, but in anyway if you are living in Dubai you can reach Ibn Batutta mall via the Metro which is so convenient. So ladies and gentlemen, here is what you are looking for if you want to take a buss between Dubai to Abu Dhabi or Abu Dhabi to Dubai:

Steakhouse Culture
I am extremely fascinated and wanted to express it… If you believe in the importance of service then check out those people at steakhouse how do they understood it all.
I had a taste for eating steak the other day, so after work I picked up my girl friend from her friends house. When I mentioned steak, she jumped on the idea. When we reached Steak House our excitement vanished when the restaurant was closed for praying. This is part of Saudi Arabia rules that oblige all businesses to close for 45 minutes 5 times a day during the prayer times. So anyways, this was unpleasant to the hungry us, so we decided to abandon the idea and head back to home and eat whatever we find in the fridge. However, while we were approaching the car to leave, I saw someone in the backyard of the building who looks as a chef or kitchen worker. I simply asked him if he knows when the prayer time is supposed to end, so he gracefully approached me and told me with great sense of care that the praying is ending in 30 minutes from now but he is going to help us. He asked us to follow him and secretly let us climb the back door stairs that reach into the kitchen and then through the kitchen to the dining area.
While following the guy, I was thinking to myself how come this man care too much to get us in, knowing that most of the people use the prayer times to enjoy a break out of work and smoke a cigarette. This man was different. He did an extra effort to help us enjoy a pleasant dinner. This guy, named Joseph, wasn’t watched by anyone. There were no body at the backyard of the building when I asked him, but he seems to feel that Steak House is his home and he owns this place. With his grace, he made me feel as a VIP and gave me a great mood the entire evening. Not only he brought to the restaurant a 300 riyals bill, but also a big tip for the entire team.
I decided to write about this experience to show an example of an ideal culture of service these managers at Steak House has created. They made their people volunteer to serve their customers. Although I don’t know details about their leadership tactics, it seems to be working perfectly well. No wonders why the place is always packed and every now and then you find a new branch opening up…
